OUYA, a NEW kind of video game console has already reached $2mil and it just went live on Kickstarter today. Is that freakin’ crazy or what? Lots and lots of gamers want OUYA to be made and be available to them, and that $2mil speaks for itself.
I pledged some money and want this new kind of console to be made. If what they claim is true, the OUYA will be the next big thing in home console entertainment!
Sure, it won’t replace the Xbox 360 or PS3(or the next-next gen consoles) any time soon, but it’s definitely a start. And like I said earlier, $2mil is a big deal. And they still have until Aug. 8 to make even more money, which means that the OUYA will be that much more impressive at launch.
It’s powered by Nvidia’s Tegra3 quad-core processor and is built on the greatest of all phone operating systems, Android(ICS, Android 4.0)!
And EVERY game right out of the gate will be free-to-play, at least from the start. I’m quite excited about OUYA and if you’re a gamer, you should be too.
The console doesn’t ship until Mar. 2013 so plenty of time for the OUYA to get pretty f’n incredible. Or well, get more f’n incredible and impressive.
Definitely looking forward to what the OUYA has in store for us all!
